Camille A. "Ky" Theriault, 85, of Milford, Connecticut, devoted husband, father, and Grampy, passed away peacefully with his loving wife of 57 years by his side, on November 27, 2020.Ky was born on September 23, 1935 in Limestone, Maine, one of the twelve children of Elisee and Doria Theriault. He enlisted in the Air Force after high school, where he spent the next four years. After his honorable discharge, he moved to Milford, Connecticut, where he met the love of his life, Sandy.
Ky worked hard to provide for his family; working two jobs, one as a machinist and one as an auto mechanic. After retiring in 2008, he and Sandy enjoyed traveling, taking rides to the beaches of Milford and Stratford, Bridgeport Airport and Lake Waramaug. Ky was Sandy's loving friend and companion, always and forever.
He was a loving and devoted Dad to his five children. He was always there, ready to help and invested in making sure each was happy and healthy. It was the little things that mattered the most; a note left for each child on the first day of school each year, French Toast on the weekends, banana splits and the time he took, just to make sure you knew he cared.
Ky's ten grandchildren were truly the light of his life. One of his favorite shirts read,"Grampy: The Man, the Myth, the Legend". It spoke the truth. There was nothing he would not do to make sure that each and every grandchild was enveloped by his love. He will be sorely missed.
He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Helen Sandra Theriault. He also leaves behind his five children: Anne-Marie (Kendall) Alderman, Greg (Diana) Theriault, Julianne (Raymond) Cianciullo, Michelle (Scott) San Antonio, and Paul (Monique)Theriault.
He also leaves behind his ten grandchildren, Emily Alderman, Kathryn Alderman, Michael Alderman, Hannah Rose Theriault, Mason Theriault, Oliver Theriault, Maria Cianciullo, Gabriel San Antonio, Dante San Antonio, and Carmine San Antonio.
In addition, he leaves behind two sisters, Laurencia Kavanaugh and Christine (Lars) Olsen, as well as brother Paul (Joan)Theriault. A private funeral mass will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, December 4, 2020 at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Stamford, Connecticut for his immediate family.
